Climate Change Agreement Beis

All sectors must take decisive action to achieve a net-zero world and the government is ready to support the economy in a period of decisive action for our country and, indeed, for our planet, to fight climate change; This led to the organisation of COP26 in Glasgow in 2021 in the UK. For more information on the evaluation, download the report here www.gov.uk/government/publications/second-climate-change-agreements-scheme-evaluation or contact enquires@beis.gov.uk or Mary Anderson of CAG Consultants (ma@cagconsult.co.uk). Interbranch organisations manage the underlying agreements for companies in their sector. An operator wishing to obtain a CSF must first apply to his inter-profession. See list of contacts of interbranch organisations and individual sectoral agreements. We are seeking opinions on a proposal to extend the system of climate change agreements (CSFs) and on possible reforms in the event of the establishment of a future CSF system. The CCA system is a voluntary scheme for companies in certain energy- and commercial-intensive industrial sectors, which offers rebates on the Climate Change Tax (CCL) in exchange for companies that meet carbon or energy efficiency improvement targets (or make buy-back payments if targets are not met). As part of the Government`s clean growth strategy, the programme aims to support the maintenance of energy-intensive industries in the UK, while improving the energy efficiency of these sectors. The second CSF program began in 2013 and an extension of the program was announced in the government`s last budget.
